Letter from Angel

Dear FolkTime Staff, Peers, Donors, and Community Partners

I would like to take the opportunity to share that I have resigned as the Executive Director of Folktime, effective December 31, 2020. My goal the last 3 years has been to increase FolkTime’s presence in the Peer community, at both the local and state levels, expand the services of the agency, and to build a training and technical assistance center to serve as the Oregon HUB for Intentional Peer Support Training. I feel very fortunate to have had the strength and support of all the amazing staff members to help bring these dreams to fruition. FolkTime is a family and we work tirelessly to bring quality support to the people they serve. I will miss working side by side with them greatly and I intend to stay connected in every way that I possibly can!

I’m excited to announce that we will be resuming IPS trainings in 2021 and that I will be staying on as a contractor after my departure from the ED role. We will update our website and social media soon with the registration calendar so please stay tuned.

I am looking forward to the next chapter of my life, and to supporting FolkTime from the outside as they continue on in their mission. Thank you all for your ongoing support of this great organization!

Sincerely,

Angel Prater
