Coordinator of Peer-Delivered Services
Alan has worked in the Peer field in a professional context since 2011, but he has been advocating and walking alongside people in the spirit of Peer Support since 2003 when his own life was ruptured by a series of experiences that brought him into the world of mental health services. During those turbulent times, it was those who walked alongside Alan in non-traditional ways who created space for him to heal and make sense of his experiences. Since that time, Alan has devoted his experience, presence, and voice toward supporting others with similar experiences and broadening the way culture and society understand and respond to individuals in the midst of turbulent or distressing life experiences. Alan currently works as the Coordinator of Peer-Delivered Services at Lifeworks Northwest in Portland.
