Folktime and peer support entered my life when I went through a life changing experience with my mental health. Not only did I lose everything, I was also in and out of hospitals and foster homes. I was very reluctant to meet with a peer at first but eventually that connection is what changed my life and SAVED me from myself. Prior to my mental health crisis, I worked in the medical field and community for 30 years.
I’m hoping to use my life experiences and share my understanding, acceptance and hope to others who need that connection. I’m a huge animal lover. One day I would like to have property for all the unwanted animals to call home. I love doing things outside, listening to music and watching movies. I also love learning and experiencing new things.
