Personal Health Navigator Training

FolkTime’s OHCC Personal Health Navigator (PHN) Training is a 7-week, 80+ hour program that prepares participants to support individuals in navigating healthcare systems and making informed care decisions. Developed over a decade with input from Traditional Health Workers, this program is the first of its kind in Oregon.

Led by a team of PHNs, CHWs, and Peer Support Specialists, the course offers a flexible format—in-person, online, or hybrid—to fit your needs.

  • Cultural competency & health equity 

  • Communication & advocacy 

  • Chronic condition support 

  • Professional development & system literacy

Why It Matters: 
PHNs are certified Traditional Health Workers who connect people with care, bridge service gaps, and improve health outcomes across Oregon.

FolkTime offers many public trainings throughout the year.  For a training that is Waitlisted, you may click the button to email to join the waitlist.  If the training is Closed, unfortunately we are not able to accept more participants.
